Back in March 2005, ten RTÉ sports personalities each chose two of their favourite GAA moments of the last forty years, and over six weeks on Sunday Sport, RTÉ asked the public to choose from the list and vote for their favourite GAA moment of the television age. This hour-long programme presented by Michael Lyster gives the full run-down of all 20 moments, from Mattie McDonagh's goal for Galway in the 1966 All Ireland Football Final, to Peter Canavan playing through the pain barrier during Tyrone's 2003 All Ireland victory.
As well as footage from each of the moments, the programme also features new interviews with some of the main protagonists - the players, managers and officials involved, telling the stories around the moment. In sport, a split second of action can become eternal folklore.
